Anduril to Support SOCOM CUxS Efforts

IRVINE, Calif. (January 24, 2022) — Defense technology company Anduril Industries today announced it was awarded a $967,599,957 Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM). Anduril will support SOCOM’s counter unmanned systems (CUxS) efforts as a Systems Integration Partner (SIP), bringing its transformative technology to the rapidly evolving unmanned threats.

As the Systems Integration Partner, Anduril will deliver, advance, and sustain CUxS capabilities for special operations forces wherever they operate. Anduril’s CUxS family of systems is powered by the Lattice operating system and includes open, modular & scalable hardware components including Anduril’s Sentry Tower, Anvil interceptor UAS, Pulsar and Foxhound with best-of-breed third party sensors and effectors for a layered defensive approach. Lattice provides persistent coverage of defended assets and enables autonomous detection, classification, and tracking of targets, alerting users to threats and prompting users with options for mitigation or engagement.

“At Anduril, our team is constantly innovating to solve the toughest defense challenges facing our military. The evolving unmanned aerial threat requires flexible, adaptable, and rapidly deployable technology approaches,” said Brian Schimpf, Anduril co-founder and CEO. “With the Lattice CUxS family of systems, Anduril is well-equipped to deliver the solutions SOCOM needs today and in the future.”

The SIP partnership with USSOCOM will allow Anduril to deliver capability through traditional means, but also deploy CUxS capability as-a-service, configuring the system based on mission profiles and ensuring SOCOM can rapidly adapt to new and evolving threat profiles. Anduril’s software-first approach and its open and interoperable Lattice operating system enables sensor modularity and massive scalability. As the SIP, Anduril will maintain continuous system updates, develop and deploy new capability, and integrate best-in-class third-party sensors and effectors, future-proofing deployed systems at no additional cost to the customer.

Anduril is a proven provider of comprehensive CUxS capabilities and has contracts with the United States Department of Defense and other national security customers. The innovative SIP relationship with Anduril provides USSOCOM the necessary tools to keep pace with the threat and deliver advanced CUxS capabilities to globally deployed SOF.
